Founded in 1991, Santa Barbara Soccer Club is one of the most respected youth soccer clubs throughout the United States, and is based in the Central California region. The club operates as a non-profit 501 (3) (c) organization dedicated to the advancement and training of youth soccer players while promoting understanding, skill, appreciation and enjoyment of the great game.
For the 2007-2008 soccer year, Santa Barbara Soccer Club fields 27 competitive boys and girls soccer teams competing in the CYSA-Coast Soccer League. In addition to operating these 27 current U9-U19 competitive teams, Santa Barbara Soccer Club also offers our Academy Program for the U7-U10 soccer player.
The Santa Barbara Soccer Club coaching staff, comprised of some of the area's most experienced youth soccer coaches, strives to ensure the development of the individual player, while teaching the importance of team effort, fair competition and good sportsmanship.
Our aim is to prepare players for the highest levels within the sport: Olympic Development Program, College, National Team, and Professional Soccer. Our emphasis is on long-term player growth and development. The players are given a foundation for the game on which they can improve and develop. Players are instructed in a team system and environment where the individual can excel.
