The U12 Girls won their first tournament of the year at the Ventura Fusion Cup!
The girls tied both of their pool play games 1-1 even though they dominated both games. The semi finals on Sunday morning was the turning point as they were combining and exploiting the outsides of the field and finished the game with a 2-0 win.
The final was a replay of the previous day’s game against the Santa Clarita Magic. The game was a hard fought physical match with both teams having equal possession. The game ended regulation 0-0. In the first minute of the second overtime Natanie Earle driving down the left flank cut the ball back from the touch line and served
a dangerous ball into the box which was knocked out to Natalia Valladeres and on her first touch drove the ball far post to put the girls in the lead for the first time in the match. The girls held strong for the last 6 minutes to end the game 1-0. The girls played the tournament with only 1 substitute and showed their resilience and competitive nature and deserved their first finals victory.
