Cal South, the governing body for all youth soccer in Southern California, recognized current Santa Barbara Soccer Club Boys Under-15 White Team at the Annual Cal South Soccer Banquet for winning the following competition’s: Cal South National Cup Cup, Regional IV Championship and US Youth Soccer National Championship in the Under-14 Division for the 2011-2012 Season.
The team was invited to attend the annual banquet and introduced as a group at a formal dinner held at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles. Players and family members were invited to attend the banquet. Coach Ybarra stated "what a great evening and well deserved acknowledgment from Cal South for an amazing season from these young men and team".
Cal South and Nike also awarded and honored Head Coach Rudy Ybarra with the Boys Younger Competitive Coach of the year award for leading the team to te previously mentioned accolades. Coach Ybarra was presented with the individual award by Cal South Director of Coaching, Steve Hoffman.
Santa Barbara SC, A State and National Power
Steve Hoffman had plenty of kind words to say about the Team, Coach Ybarra and most importantly about Santa Barbara Soccer Club. Mr. Hoffman said that "Santa Barbara Soccer Club has become a State and National Power" and has put Santa Barbara on the youth soccer and player development map. Mr. Hoffman was very complimentary of the entire club its professionalism and its role in helping grow the quality of our competitive arena here in Southern California.
Coach Ybarra commented "Great work is being done here at Santa Barbara SC, work for all of us to be proud of."
