Tournament Information
1. TOURNAMENT CLASSIFICATION
The tournament will be a CYSA-S sanctioned Class I Tournament. You may download a copy of the approved tournament application now. 
2. TOURNAMENT DATES
The tournament will be held Saturday , March 20 and Sunday March 21, 2010 for U-9 through U-19 boys and girls teams
3. TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The Tournament Committee will determine the format of each bracket. Awards will be presented to the 1st and 2nd place teams. Awards will be presented after the Championship games.
4. REGISTRATION
a) Registration is for 2009-10 age brackets.
b) Entry deadline is February 28, 2010 for U-9 through U-19 teams. Rosters must be submitted with applications. Payment must be received by the deadlines defined here.
c) US Club and AYSO teams may not have mixed player teams. All team members must be registered with either US Club or AYSO. All other guest players must be registered with Cal-South.
d) Entry fee is $500 for U9-10 teams and $550 for teams U11-19 teams. Credit card payment may be made online or mail a check, cashiers check or money order payable to:

e) On-line applications will be approved only after payment of required registration fee and the acceptance of the registration application by the tournament registrar.
f) All entries must include an e-mail address.
g) Any team not accepted for participation will receive a full refund.
h) Any team withdrawing from the tournament that has been accepted or after the entry deadline will forfeit the registration fee entirely.
i) In the event the tournament is canceled due to inclement weather or other acts of God the team will be refunded the registration fee less a $125 administration fee. If it becomes necessary to cancel the tournament after games have been played then a refund equal to the team registration fee less $185 for each game played will be made.
Check-in Procedure
Mandatory team check-in will be at least 90 minutes prior to the first tournament game. Check-in will begin at 7:00 am on Saturday.CHECK-IN LOCATIONS TO BE PROVIDE AFTER GAME SCHEDULES ARE AVAILABLE.
Please complete the Tournament Check-in check sheet. Failure to check-in at the appropriate time may result in forfeiture of the first game and the team will be subject to a $50.00 fee. Failure to attend is considered withdrawing from the tournament after acceptance.

5. PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
a) Each Head Coach is responsible for assuring the eligibility of his/her players. Violations will result in the removal of the team from the tournament and a complete forfeiture of registration fees.
b) Only players appearing on the team's approved roster will be eligible. There is no limited on loan or guest players.
c) US Club and AYSO teams may not have mixed player teams. All team members must be registered with either US Club or AYSO. All other guest players must be registered with Cal-South.
d) USYSA laminated player passes (properly validated by the District Commissioner and/or Registrar) will be required for all players. Any player who fails to provide a player pass before the game will be unable to play. Player passes and equipment check will be completed at least 30 minutes prior to each game.
e) CYSA-S requires that all players provide a valid medical release form.
f) CYSA-S requires that all players wear shin protectors during all games.
g) Teams from outside CYSA-S must provide proper travel papers
h) Maximum of fourteen (14) players on a roster for U-9 and eighteen (18) players on a roster for U-10 and older.

7. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR PETS
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at field venues. Pets or animals are also not permitted unless allowed by law and even then they must be restrained by leash.
8. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COACHES AND PARENTS
a) It shall be the duty of each coach and parent to conduct them-selves in accordance with the CYSA-S Code of Conduct. Please see the official CYSA Codes Of Conduct Uphold tournament rules and regulations. Provide positive encouragement to players.
b) No more than two coaches will be allowed on the sideline. Coaches shall remain within 10 yards of the midfield line on their respective side of the field. Partisan spectators should stay on their team's side of the field. Coaches are responsible for the actions of their players and spectators during games.
c) Player ID cards will be given to the Field Marshall/Monitor prior to the start of the game. The Field Marshall/Monitor will provide the Tournament Game Card.
d) Each head coach will have a current emergency medical release form for every team member in his possession at all times.
9. PRE AND POST GAME REQUIREMENTS :
1. Laminated player passes with photo and signature must be presented to the Field Monitor, who will check them against the approved team roster. Players without a valid player pass will not be allowed to participate.
2. All players must be registered prior to the team's first game.
3. Players may only participate on one registered team during the tournament.
4. Home teams will choose which side of the field they will occupy. No two teams, players, coaches or spectators will occupy the same side of the field or the area behind the goals.
5. Home teams will be noted on the schedule and game card, and will be responsible for changing jerseys should there be a color conflict. If the Home Team cannot supply an alternative jersey, the Home Team will forfeit the game.
6. Unless supplied by the Tournament Committee, the designated Home team shall supply the game ball. The game ball will be subject to Referee approval.
7. Shin-guards are mandatory. , In the referee's opinion Casts and braces must be well-cushioned so as not to constitute, a danger to players. Large or hard casts will not be permitted.
8. In an 11 v 11 game, a team must field at least 7 players at all times during the game. In an 8 v 8 game, a team must field at least 6 players at all times during the game.
9. Failure to field the minimum number of players will result in that team's forfeiture of the game.
10. Coaches shall stay within 10 meters of the midfield line.Partisan spectators should stay on their team's side of the field. Coaches are responsible for the behavior of themselves, their players, spectators and others associated with their team.
Post-Game Requirements:
1. The Referee will turn in the game report, initialed by the Referee and by the respective team coach, either to the Field Monitor, or to the Field Marshal at the Tournament Field Headquarters.
2. Coaches are responsible for checking the game results and bracket standings posted on the tournament website and for reporting perceived errors to tournament officials there for review and possible correction.
3. Complaints about refereeing, opponent behavior, field conditions, etc. should be addressed to the Field Marshal or to officials at the Field Headquarters and not to the Field Monitors whom have no discretionary power in these matters.
10. INFORMTION, AVAILABILITY AND UPDATES
All tournament information including field locations, rules, hotel accommodations, accepted teams and playing schedules, will be posted at our tournament web site. On occasion, a very important and/or late change will occur and an e-mail to an individual team or a whole bracket may be required directing them to view the web site
